Bibiani GoldStars and Asante Kotoko played out a goalless draw in their Ghana Premier League Week 32 encounter, with neither side able to find the breakthrough in a highly contested match.
Clear-cut chances were few and far between, but the visitors showed more attacking intent.
GoldStars launched an early attack in the 5th minute, but Henry Ansu was quick to react, guiding the ball out for a goal kick to keep Kotoko safe.
Peter Amidu came close to breaking the deadlock in the 68th minute, dancing past his marker and firing a powerful shot that missed the post by inches.
GoldStars responded late in the game with a threatening move, but Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara pulled off a brilliant save in the 83rd minute to deny the hosts.
The result leaves GoldStars second on the league table with 57 points, while Kotoko remain third on 55 points.
Nations FC continue to lead the standings with 60 points.
Up next, GoldStars will face Berekum Chelsea, while Kotoko prepare to host Medeama SC in Week 33.
