Bibiani GoldStars defender Vincent Atinga has boldly declared himself the key to winning league titles after playing a crucial role in helping his side clinch their first-ever Ghana Premier League trophy.
The experienced centre-back, who previously starred for Hearts of Oak, has now won two league titles in just three seasons with two different clubs.
Atinga first made history with Medeama SC, helping them secure their maiden Premier League crown three seasons ago. After joining GoldStars at the start of the 2024/2025 campaign, he quickly became a key member of Frimpong Manso’s side, bringing stability and leadership to the backline.
Although he was an unused substitute during the emphatic 4-0 win over Accra Lions at Dun's Park on Sunday, Atinga was full of emotion after the final whistle.
“If you want to win the Ghana Premier League, sign me,” he said confidently.
‘’I am excited, I don't even know what to say. I took Medeama SC to win the League, and Bibiani to also win the League. It was very difficult for us. We had ups and downs; there were some games we needed to win, and we lost, so it was difficult for us.
Atinga made 18 league appearances during the 2024/2025 season, solidifying his reputation as one of the most reliable defenders in the domestic game.
