Golden Kick head coach Nii Parker Hanson believes his side could have won the FA Cup if they had more experienced players.
The lower-tier team lost 2-1 to Asante Kotoko in the final at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Speaking to Sporty FM, Coach Hanson admitted that inexperience cost them the game.
“I would have defeated Kotoko with experienced players,” he said, expressing disappointment over the missed opportunity.
"We have immature players. If I had three of Kotoko's experienced players, I would have beaten Kotoko hands down without hesitation.
“You saw the immaturity in these boys [Golden Kick]. Sometimes they need to do the right thing, but because they don't have the experience, [they can’t]. We wanted to win [the FA Cup] to make history."
Despite the loss, Golden Kick earned praise for their spirited run to the final.
Meanwhile, as a result of the triumph, Kotoko will participate in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
