Asante Kotoko have officially presented their 2024/25 MTN FA Cup trophy to the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Wednesday in a show of gratitude and loyalty.
The presentation follows their 2-1 victory over Golden Kick FC in Sunday’s tightly contested final at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Kwame Opoku emerged the hero, scoring twice, including a decisive late penalty after Bless Ege had earlier equalized with a brilliant free-kick.
Leading the delegation were IMC Chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, Board Chairman Kwesi Appiah, and Technical Director Malik Jabir.
The visit was to show appreciation to the King for his steadfast support and blessings throughout the season.
Kotoko’s triumph has earned them a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, as they seek to make their mark once more on the continental stage.
