His Royal Majesty Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II was celebrated as the Development‑Oriented Chief of the Year at the 7th Northern Excellence Awards (NExA 2025).
The accolade was conferred during a gala held on Saturday, 5 July, at the Global Dream Hotel in Tamale, recognising his visionary leadership and pro-development initiatives.
Organised by the Celebrities Charity Development Foundation in partnership with MyNorthToday and Neesim TV, the awards ceremony honoured individuals and organisations making significant contributions to Northern Ghana’s growth.
Buipewura Jinapor was particularly lauded for driving socio-economic transformation within his traditional area and the wider Savannah Region.
Under his guidance, Buipe has experienced infrastructure upgrades, youth empowerment programmes, and strengthened industrial development.
His advocacy for initiatives such as the Anti‑Drug Abuse campaign and support for local entrepreneurship were highlighted as key factors in securing the prestigious award.
Commenting on the honour, NExA Founder Alhaji Abdul‑Latif Alhassan praised Buipewura Jinapor for preserving cultural heritage while steering modern development.
He said, “Buipewura Jinapor embodies the spirit of transformational leadership… This honour is a well‑deserved tribute to his tireless dedication to development and peace.”
