International Technical Official (ITO) of the Ghana Swimming Association, Pastor Simon Asaah, has been selected to officiate at the World Aquatics Championships and the World Aquatics Masters Swimming Championships in Singapore.
While he is the third Ghanaian to officiate at the World Aquatics Championships, Asaah becomes the first ever to be appointed for both the Elite and Masters competitions at the global event.
The appointment is being hailed as a significant boost for Ghanaian swimming, as it represents administrative and technical progress on the world stage.
“This is another good news for Ghana Swimming,” World Aquatics Bureau member Farida Iddriss, who doubles as GSA’s Treasurer, posted on social media.

The World Aquatics Championships is considered the highest level of competition in aquatic sports, bringing together elite athletes, coaches, and officials from across the globe.
Asaah’s involvement underscores Ghana's growing presence in the international swimming landscape.
