Renowned gospel songstress Selina Boateng has declared her intention to remarry following her recent divorce.
The ‘Minku Meho’ (meaning “I won’t kill myself”) singer recently opened up about being single after divorcing her husband, Isaac Berchie, six years into their marriage.
Her revelation sparked conversations on social media, with critics lashing out at her, citing her status as a gospel minister. However, Selina Boateng refuses to be discouraged by the backlash.
In a recent interview with Doreen Avio on Joy Prime, the songstress emphasised her desire to marry again.
“Selina, will you marry again?” The host quizzed in the Akan language. “Yes, of course,” the musician responded with confidence.
Although she believes that God frowns upon divorce, she acknowledges that some people are compelled to make such a decision due to the severity of their circumstances.
“One thing God doesn’t like is divorce, but when you get to certain situations, you don’t have any option,” she said.
She says the kind of man she wants should be prayerful, fair in complexion, God-fearing, and understanding of the nature of her work.
