The GNPC Foundation has welcomed 151 newly trained medical doctors who have successfully completed their studies in Cuba under a full scholarship programme sponsored by the Foundation.
This milestone represents a major investment in Ghana’s healthcare sector and underscores the Foundation’s commitment to building a robust, equitable, and resilient health system.
The doctors were received warmly upon their arrival in Ghana and are set to begin their careers in service to the nation. Their training in Cuba, globally renowned for its high-quality, community-focused medical education, has equipped them with the expertise to make a significant impact on healthcare delivery, particularly in underserved and rural communities.

In an interview, Ms. Helga JM Boadi, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, reaffirmed the organisation’s dedication to health-focused initiatives, including the construction of health facilities, provision of medical equipment, and continuous investment in human capital.
She also emphasised the Foundation’s role in supporting government efforts to achieve national and global health targets, particularly those outlined in SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
