Heart of Lions will begin their 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home game against Dreams FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 14.
The Lions are coming off a historic season in which they finished second on the league table, their best since the 2013/14 season, and secured a place in the GHALCA Top Four. At home, they were one of the strongest sides, winning 12 of their 17 matches.
However, they are winless in their last two opening-day fixtures and will be aiming to start this campaign on a better note. Their last meeting with Dreams at Kpando ended in a 2-1 defeat in March 2025.

Dreams FC also enjoyed a solid 2024/25 season, finishing in the top half of the table for the third straight year. They were strong in the second round, winning 11 of their last 17 games, and have enjoyed a perfect pre-season with three victories.
The Believers were among the league’s best away performers last season and will look to replicate their 2-1 win over the Lions in Kpando as they push for another strong start.
Since Lions returned to the top flight in 2023/24, the two teams have met twice at Kpando, with each side recording a victory.
