Aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini Esq., says what excites members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) about Dr. Bawumia ahead of the party’s presidential primaries is the integrity he brings to the ticket.
Speaking on the Prime Morning show on Joy Prime, he noted that integrity is key to restoring public confidence in politics, and Dr. Bawumia exemplifies that value.
“What excites the NPP about Dr. Bawumia is the integrity he brings to the ticket. Integrity is crucial in our quest to restore confidence in politics, and the entire country is united on the question of Dr. Bawumia’s integrity,”
Mr. Khomeini also highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s popularity, describing him as a respected academic whose humility and ideas continue to earn admiration across the country.
“Dr. Bawumia is extremely popular because he is a respected and distinguished academic. The country admires his brilliance, the civility of his language, the humility in his conduct, and the fact that at the policy table, he brings progressive ideas that can move the development of our nation forward,” he added.
The race toward the NPP’s presidential primaries, scheduled for January 31, 2026, has intensified, with all candidates actively engaging delegates across the country.
Dr. Bawumia is expected to continue his campaign tour in the northern part of the country this week, beginning with the Savannah Region.
