Ghanaian side Nations FC have appointed head coach Frimpong Manso on a two-year contract.
Manso, who was sacked by defending champions Bibiani GoldStars in September, replaces Kassim Ocansey Mingle, who was also dismissed barely 48 hours ago.
Mingle was shown the exit door together with his assistant, Johnson Smith, after picking up two victories in seven Ghana Premier League matchdays, including the 3-2 win over Eleven Wonders.
The Abrankese-based side sit 12th on the league log with eight points.
Manso will be deputised by former Asante Kotoko player and ex-gaffer of Women’s Premier League club Ashtown Ladies, Aboagye Dacosta.
The 66-year-old is expected to ensure a rejuvenated Nations FC side - who competed strongly for the Premier League title in the 2024/25 season - in their next outing against Bechem United on October 31.
Manso led GoldStars to their first-ever Premier League trophy last term but lost his job after a 2-0 first-leg defeat to JS Kabylie of Algeria in the CAF Champions League preliminary round due to differing “plans” between the trainer and the club’s board.
