The much-anticipated 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) clash between seeded giants Accra Academy, Aggrey Memorial SHS, and Kwahu Tafo SHS lived up to expectations in a thrilling academic showdown.
After a heated first round, Aggrey Memorial took an early lead with 21 points, while Accra Academy trailed closely with 20 points, and Kwahu Tafo followed with 12 points.

The second round saw the competition intensify. Aggrey rang for the first question and got it right, but Accra Aca quickly took charge, buzzing in for three consecutive questions. By the end of the round, Accra Academy had overturned the scoreline, leading with 29 points, followed by Aggrey with 20 points and Kwahu Tafo with 13 points.
In the Problem of the Day, Aggrey Memorial scored 4 out of 10, edging Accra Aca by a single point, while Kwahu Tafo failed to score.

The True or False round (Round Four) saw all three schools giving their best shot. Although each team had their share of right and wrong answers, Accra Academy maintained their dominance, stretching their lead to 45 points. Aggrey Memorial followed with 31 points, and Kwahu Tafo stood at 23 points.
In the final riddles round, all three schools attempted one question each. At the end of the contest, Accra Academy emerged victorious with 48 points, while Aggrey Memorial SHS finished with 34 points, and Kwahu Tafo SHS managed 26 points.
Accra Academy’s resilience paid off; they kept their seed after a hard-fought contest.
