The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has called on stakeholders in the Western North Region to unite and work together to accelerate the region’s development.
He stressed that development thrives on unity, noting that the creation of the Western North Region was meant to bring its people together to collectively harness their resources and potential for progress.

Mr Akandoh made the call during a working visit to the region as part of his Christmas activities, where he underscored the importance of collaboration among traditional authorities, political actors, opinion leaders, and the youth in driving sustainable development.
On the second day of his visit, the Minister toured several districts and constituencies, including Bia West, Bia East, Aowin, Suaman, and Akontombra. During the tour, he engaged local stakeholders and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing the developmental needs of the region.

He urged residents to set aside partisan and personal differences and rally around a shared vision of growth and prosperity for the Western North Region.
The Health Minister also took the opportunity to pay a surprise visit to the Enchi Government Hospital to assess operations and interact with health workers.
