The President, John Dramani Mahama, on Thursday, January 8, visited the state broadcaster, the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
He is scheduled to visit other key media houses in the capital.
The tour is a working visit, allowing the President to assess the media’s work, exchange pleasantries and New Year greetings, and outline his plans for the country’s media sector.
Speaking on GTV during the visit, he revealed that personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service who recently assaulted a journalist with Accra-based Class FM have been identified and interdicted, as investigations into the incident continue.
