The Afigya Kwabre North MP, Collins Adomako Mensah, has given former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia a firm assurance of robust backing from the constituency ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for January 31.
Speaking to party delegates and supporters, Mr Adomako Mensah praised Dr Bawumia’s leadership and national vision, urging members to rally together behind his candidacy.
He highlighted the former Vice President’s long-standing engagement with the constituency as evidence of his commitment to the people.
“Dr Bawumia has personally visited Afigya Kwabre on seven occasions, demonstrating his genuine connection with our community,” the MP said.
“I have been speaking about his credentials since 2003, and the delegates here can confirm this.”
He further reassured Dr Bawumia that the constituency’s support was unwavering.
“There is no cause for concern. The delegates of Afigya Kwabre North are united and fully behind you,” Mr Adomako Mensah added, emphasising the loyalty of party members to the aspirant.
This endorsement comes as the NPP ramps up its internal campaign activities, with leaders across the country calling for cohesion and unity to enhance the party’s prospects ahead of the 2028 general elections.
