Asante Kotoko duo Abdul Karim Zito and Prince Yaw Owusu have been charged by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following their game against Bibiani GoldStars.
Zito and Owusu are said to have breached Article 12(1)(i) of the Disciplinary Code. Their actions came over the weekend in the stalemate against the reigning Ghana Premier League champions.
The two are alleged to have “exhibited unsporting behaviour towards the match officials” on the day as the Porcupine Warriors dropped points again.
Kotoko felt hard done by officials in the fixture which saw a goal disallowed for what the officials described as a foul in the opposition box in the lead to the goal.
Both Zito and Owusu have been given until Wednesday, January 21, to respond to the charges.
Kotoko dropped to fourth on the league table following the draw against GoldStars, moving eight points away from league leaders Medeama
