Bechem United were back to winning ways after defeating Hearts of Lions 1-0 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium on Sunday.
The Hunters came into the game aiming to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 defeat away to Basake Holy Stars on matchday 19.
Augustine Okrah scored the only goal of the game just 240 seconds after kick-off, taking his tally to seven for the season and lifting Bechem into ninth place on the league table.
Bechem protected their early lead after the break with resilient defending to record a fifth straight home win in the league this season.
Hearts of Lions were unable to build on their win last week against Eleven Wonders.
Despite their inconsistency, Bashiru Hayford’s side remain seventh with 27 points on the table.
Lions will look to bounce back when they host Asante Kotoko next, while Bechem United will travel to Accra to face Hearts of Oak, who are fourth on the table.
