Voting has officially begun at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national headquarters in Accra as delegates across the country take part in today’s presidential primaries to elect the party’s flagbearer.

At the party’s Asylum Down office, party executives, campaign officials, and accredited delegates were seen arriving early, forming orderly queues and observing voting procedures under the supervision of electoral officials.

The photo captures delegates casting their ballots under the watch of party agents and security personnel, with officials verifying credentials and ensuring compliance with party rules.

According to officials on the ground, voting began on schedule, with no major disruptions reported as of mid-morning. Campaign teams were also spotted coordinating logistics and monitoring proceedings.

Results from the various voting centres are expected to be collated later today, with the official declaration to be made at the party’s national headquarters.

In total, over 211,000 delegates are expected to vote at more than 300 polling centres nationwide. Five aspirants are contesting the race: former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Food and Agriculture Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong, former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
