Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi was on the scoresheet for FC Nordsjaelland in their league win over Sonderjyske over the weekend.
Yirenkyi scored the opening goal for Nordsjaelland in their 2-1 win on their return to Danish Superliga action following the end of the first round.
The midfielder was one of two Ghanaians named in the starting line-up for the encounter on Sunday with Prince Amoako Junior being the other.
The opening 45 minutes of the game had no goals despite goal threats from the two teams.
However, Yirenkyi broke the deadlock in the 58th minute from a Justin Janssen pass to give Nordsjaelland the win.
The Ghanaian was involved in Nordsjaelland's second goal minutes later, providing the assist for Ola Solbakken's strike to double the lead for the hosts.
Mohamed Haidara reduced the deficit for the visitors in the dying embers of the game, but it was not enough to earn them a point.
With his involvement over the weekend, Yirenkyi has directly had a hand in seven league goals this season, scoring two and providing five assists.
Nordsjaelland are chasing a spot in the Championship round and currently sit seventh on the league table.
