The Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced that the Committee established by the Chief of Staff has completed its review of 2,080 Public Service recruitments, appointments, and promotions made following the 7 December elections.
The Committee was tasked with determining whether the appointments complied with due process after their initial revocation.
According to Mr Kwakye Ofosu:
1,201 appointments were upheld after satisfying the required administrative and legal procedures.
338 appointments concerning persons with disabilities were also maintained.
541 appointments were revoked, having failed to comply with established recruitment guidelines.
“The outcome underscores the government’s resolve to promote accountability, transparency, and strict adherence to due process in the administration of the Public Service,” Mr Kwakye Ofosu said.
The review reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that public service appointments are transparent, merit-based, and legally compliant, reinforcing confidence in governance and administrative integrity.
