Ghana coach Otto Addo has spoken in glowing terms of the team’s opponents for Friday and Monday’s international friendly matches.
The Black Stars will face Austria in Vienna on Friday, March 27, 2026, before playing Germany on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart.
Speaking at Thursday’s press conference, ‘‘the profiles of the players are really high, they play in good clubs. But we also have good players, good footballers, who will be very interesting also for us after a long period to play in Europe against a European team. A European team and I think for both teams, and it will be a very good test match.’’
The friendlies are the first of Ghana’s preparatory matches for the 2026 World Cup in June.
Ghana will face Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L when the tournament starts in June.
World Cup-bound Austria are in Group J alongside Algeria, Jordan, and Argentina in Group J, while Germany face Curacao, Ecuador, and the Ivory Coast in Group E.
