The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has held a high-level management meeting to assess ongoing programmes and formally introduce the Ministry’s newly appointed Chief Director, Dr Marian Kpakpah.
The meeting, organised by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, brought together directors and heads of various departments, units and agencies under the Ministry.
Participants presented updates on their mandates, achievements and ongoing initiatives, offering a comprehensive overview of current interventions.

In her opening remarks, Dr Lartey commended management for their dedication and sustained efforts in advancing social protection programmes across the country.
She acknowledged their role in delivering critical support to vulnerable groups and urged continued commitment to the Ministry’s objectives.

The Minister also stressed the importance of innovation, teamwork and stronger coordination, noting that these elements are essential to achieving meaningful impact.
She emphasised that the Ministry’s work aligns with the broader development agenda of President John Dramani Mahama, adding that effective collaboration will be key to delivering results.
Formally introducing Dr Kpakpah, the Minister expressed confidence in her leadership and capacity to support the Ministry’s strategic direction.

She encouraged management to extend their full cooperation to the new Chief Director in pursuit of shared goals.
In her response, Dr Kpakpah thanked the Minister and management for the warm welcome and pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to strengthen efficiency and outcomes.

She highlighted the need for transparency, teamwork and a results-oriented approach to enhance the Ministry’s impact, particularly in improving the lives of vulnerable populations.
