Senior Presidential Advisor and Special Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has described the first 120 days of the new administration as a “phenomenal opportunity” for Ghana to begin afresh.
In a statement shared on social media on Wednesday, 7th May, she expressed optimism about the direction of the country under President Mahama’s leadership, noting that the current momentum signals a purposeful break from the past.
Reflecting on the administration’s approach to governance, she praised the President’s commitment to integrity, accountability, and efficient public service delivery.
“Indeed, President Mahama is right: there is no room for complacency. But there is every reason for confidence,” she stated. Mogtari highlighted ongoing reforms, including a leaner ministerial team and people-centred policies, as evidence of a government serious about change.
She emphasised that Ghanaians were beginning to witness a new style of leadership—disciplined, visionary, and inclusive.
According to her, the government’s focus on restoring dignity and ensuring development in every part of the country was not just a slogan but a visible reality.
“Today, under HE President John Dramani Mahama, we are on the threshold of a phenomenal opportunity to #ResetGhana and to restore dignity, discipline and development in every corner of this nation,” she added.
Mogtari’s remarks come at a time when public confidence appears to be rising, with recent polls showing growing support for the President’s administration.
As the government prepares to mark the end of its first quarter in office, many observers see these early gains as laying the foundation for a more transparent and effective leadership style—one that, as she described, gives every Ghanaian a renewed sense of hope and responsibility.
