Ghana forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has signed a two-year contract with Swiss second-tier side FC Aarau following the termination of his deal with FC Zurich.
The 24-year-old parted ways with Zurich after a difficult spell, where he managed just two goals in all competitions over three seasons.
Barnieh joined the Swiss top-flight club from Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak in 2022.
In the 2024/2025 season, he made only six appearances for Zurich, totaling 157 minutes of play.
The move to FC Aarau presents a fresh opportunity for the former Ghana U20 star to boost his career.
