The President, who is in the United States to attend the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, prayed for the soul of the late former Council of State member to “rest in perfect peace until the Last Day of the Resurrection when we shall all meet again. Amen!!”

Also paying tribute to his former appointee to the Council of State, former President John Mahama said, “She was not only a politician but also a gender activist and champion of women’s rights. Ama Benyiwa Doe was an embodiment of limitless courage, commitment and passion for service. May her soul rest in eternal glory.”
