The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has handed over a newly constructed maternity and theatre building to the Kaneshie Polyclinic.
The Mayor of the Assembly, Madam Elizabeth Sackey handed over the building today, Thursday, December 22.
According to her, even though the construction of the project preceded her appointment, she immediately saw the significance of same and had to complete it on time.

Speaking to the media after the ceremony, she charged the management of the Policlinic to maintain it properly.
She also assured her continued assistance the facility to ensure it becomes a fully fletched hospital.

“I am happy that today we can all join this occasion to hand over this facility successfully to the management.
This project was one of the main projects that came to mind when I assumed office and we had to complete it on time for the betterment of the community.

It is my hope and prayer that it will be maintained well so many can benefit from it,” she said.
The Member of Parliament for the Okaikwei Constituency, Madam Dakoa Newman who supported the construction of the project also urged the management to use it well.

The MP also assured of her commitment to ensuring the ward is provided with all that it requires.
“All I can say as the MP for the constituency is that I am happy for my people and we will all that we can save lives,” she said.
