The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has inaugurated a community-driven tree-planting initiative along the Ahwerase–Darmang stretch under the banner of the “Help Green Nsawam-Adoagyiri” campaign.
The exercise, held on Saturday, brought together traditional leaders, party officials, and local volunteers to promote environmental sustainability and restore green cover in the constituency.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Annoh-Dompreh highlighted the dual goals of the campaign: rehabilitating degraded areas and raising public awareness about climate change.

“This is not a one-off event, but a sustained effort to reclaim our environment through collective action,” he said. “Each seedling planted represents our commitment to a greener, healthier future for Nsawam-Adoagyiri and for Ghana.”
The initiative reflects the MP’s long-standing focus on ecological protection and aligns with national and global efforts to tackle climate change through community engagement.

By encouraging active participation from residents, the campaign seeks to instil a sense of ownership in environmental conservation.

Mr Annoh-Dompreh confirmed that the tree-planting exercise is only the first phase of the campaign, with plans for additional planting activities and community outreach programmes throughout the year to further strengthen environmental stewardship in the constituency.
