Black Stars coach Otto Addo paid a visit to injured defender Alidu Seidu before he underwent a successful surgery in France on Monday December 16, 2024.
Addo shared words of encouragement with the Stade Rennes' right -back before he went under the knife following a cruciate ligament setback in his left knee during a French Lique 1 match against LOSC last month.
The operation went well for the Ghana international, with the player set to begin rehabilitation.
The visit by the Black Stars coach is to offer solidarity and support to the defender who has been sidelined until next year.
He will miss several key games, including Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar.
Before the injury, the Ghanaian had been Stade Rennes' best player, winning the September Player of the Month Award.
