Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito is hoping to build on the victory over Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League ahead of the upcoming clash with Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
Kotoko, who had not beaten Chelsea at the Golden City Park in 15 years, ended the run thanks to forward Albert Amoah’s low strike through the legs of goalkeeper Adu Emmanuel.

The Porcupines face Nigeria’s Kwara United on September 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
"It is positive because my supporters will be happy,” Zito said.
"They [fans] will come to the stadium and support us against Kwara United. I am happy with the nice start, and we will use that to motivate ourselves.”
The Porcupines have made 15 additions in the transfer window with Zito admitting the playing-body need time to "gell".
Zito, who has won four trophies with Kotoko since taking charge midway through last season, previously guided Dreams FC to the semi-finals of the continental competition in the 2023/24 campaign.
