Davido to share ₦20m with lucky Twitter fans

Musician Davido has promised to dole out money to some lucky people on Twitter on Friday, March 18.

In a post on the microblogging platform, he stated that this is his effort to alleviate the challenges some people are going through in Nigeria.

This, he said, is because the cost of living in the country has risen and people are struggling financially.

Hence he asked people to put their businesses and start-up ideas underneath his post. Twenty people would be chosen as the beneficiaries of the ₦20m.

“Country hard right now sha...let's give 20m to 20 people on Friday...send in your business ideas or start up ideas...more details shortly. Government don fail us nah to dey help each other we dey now,” Davido wrote.

The latest post came after he complained about Nigeria’s economy in previous posts.

“You don't even wanna know how much I just payed to clear my lambo...Pray for Nigeria ... Jesus,” he wrote in one tweet.

Meanwhile, some Twitter users are not impressed with the Afrobeat star’s effort.

One user was more concerned about finding out why Davido’s uncle wants to contest elections for the position of governor.

“Bro I'm giving out Money on  Friday join in and win something instead of fighting for people who don't give a f*** about you ! I'm fighting for my state and my blood!” Davido replied to the tweet.

Another wanted Davido to give the ₦20m to hospitals and schools noting that they need it the most.

“Mr Daniel if you have ur own 20'million Naira use it how you want and pls change ur dp that shit mad annoying,” Davido replied.
