Ghana’s finest DJ, Kwadwo Ampofo, famously known as DJ Black has done the impossible – growing “dreadlocks” overnight.
The radio personality wore “dreadlocks” to work on Thursday morning ahead of his mid-morning show on Hitz FM, Musik Box.
Before Thursday, the voice-over artist wore his usual clean-shaved buzz cut hairstyle to work, with no sign of twists or long strands of hair hanging from his snapback.
He caught everyone by surprise when he showed up at Hitz FM studio, wearing a Jamaican reggae multi-coloured striped cap, while his “locks” draped on his red-coloured t-shirt.
On the heels of this, it’s only right that the name “Ras Black” is added to the DJ’s attributes.
DJ Black is one of the pioneers of disc jockeying in Ghana. He began disc jockeying in the year 1995.
Black won the ‘DJ of the Year’ award at the Ghana DJ Awards four years in a row; 2013, 2014, 2015 and, 2016.
He also hosts 'Open House Party', 'Weekend Warmer' shows on Joy FM; and 'Musik Box' on Hitz FM.
'Musik Box' airs from Monday to Thursday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon.
