The Campaign Manager for John Mahama has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of prioritising electoral manipulation over meaningful policy presentation during the December 7 general elections.
Joshua Alabi, speaking in an interview with TV3, criticised the NPP for allegedly devising strategies to influence the election results rather than focusing on addressing the needs of Ghanaians.
In contrast, he commended the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for conducting a robust campaign centred on engaging with voters directly and presenting clear, actionable policies.
He attributed the NDC’s success in connecting with the electorate to its visible presence at the grassroots level and its commitment to addressing the issues that matter most to citizens.
According to Mr Alabi, the party’s proactive approach not only resonated with voters but also strengthened their trust in the NDC’s ability to protect the integrity of the electoral process.
“Our performance reflected our preparedness and sincerity. I must say that the NDC campaigned exceptionally well.
"Our messages were impactful, and our presence was felt across the country. On the other hand, the NPP seemed more focused on schemes to manipulate the results rather than earning genuine support,” he remarked.
Mr Alabi further disclosed that many Ghanaians appealed to the NDC to safeguard the electoral process.
“Everywhere we went, people assured us of their votes but pleaded with us to protect the ballots. We took this responsibility seriously and assured them we would ensure the integrity of the process,” he concluded.
