In his tweet, Samuel Nartey George compared the cost of fuel under the then Mahama-led administration in 2015 and the current Akufo-Addo-led government.
Referencing infographics that compared the cost of GOIL's Super XP and Diesel XP, the MP suggested that citizens are worse off under the governing NPP.
Per the infographics, the cost of Super XP and Diesel XP on October 5, 2015, stood at GH₵2.888 and GH₵2.779 respectively. But as of February 3, this year, Super XP RON 95 and Diesel XP cost GH₵7.300.
Analysis of the figures shows that within 7 years, GOIL's fuel prices have increased by almost 152.4 per cent.
