Jacob Partey, father of Thomas Partey has urged his son to avoid distractions after securing his big money move to Arsenal on deadline day.
Thomas Partey will reportedly earn over £200,000 including bonuses and before tax. That is about four times what the Ghanaian midfielder was earning in Spain with Atlético Madrid.
Anticipating the temptations that will come with an inflated remuneration, Jacob Partey advised his son to remain focused and train hard.
"This is not all, he has to keep on training seriously. What I have observed is that players that flop usually start going to beaches, hotels and so forth chasing ladies."
"My advice is that he should keep on training seriously because there are challenges ahead," he added.
