Government has initiated plans to evacuate its nationals from Qatar following growing security concerns in the region.
The announcement was made by the Embassy of Ghana in Doha in a notice issued on March 15.
According to the embassy, the decision forms part of precautionary measures being taken in response to the evolving security situation in parts of the Middle East.

The notice follows an earlier advisory issued on March 6, which alerted Ghanaian residents in Qatar to the developments.
The embassy indicated that the planned evacuation will be strictly a one-way arrangement from Qatar to Ghana. It therefore urged Ghanaians who wish to participate in the exercise to confirm their interest without delay.
As part of the process, affected individuals have been asked to submit the biodata page of their passports via email to [doha@mfa.gov.gh](mailto:doha@mfa.gov.gh).
The embassy said the required information must be sent no later than Tuesday, March 17, 2026, to enable authorities to make the necessary arrangements.
Officials explained that the move is intended to safeguard Ghanaian citizens should the security situation deteriorate further.
The development comes as several countries review contingency plans for their nationals living in the Middle East amid rising regional tensions.
