Medeama Sporting Club climbed to 4th in the Ghana Premier League courtesy a 2-0 away win over struggling Young Apostles.
It didn’t take the 2023 champions long to open the scoring, when Derrick Fordjour slotted in after 15 minutes to give the Miners the lead.
Medeama continued to press for the second, and went close on a couple of occasions, but were unsuccessful.
The two teams went into the break with Medeama holding a slight lead.
Young Apostles came out of the break looking to restore parity, but their chances took a huge blow when Prince Owusu, fired home from 40 yards to double MEDEAMA’s lead.
From a throw in on the right side, Owusu pounced unto a flick on from his teammates and hit the most spectacular half volley which flew past the Young Apostles goalkeeper, Zulka Masawudu.Â
