Young Apostles picked up a home win over Nsoatreman FC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, January 26.
The two teams came up against each other on matchday 18 of the top flight to get the second round of the season underway.
In the end, it was a win at home for the newly promoted side with Emmanuel Fosu Kyei scoring the only goal of the encounter.
The two teams had to settle for a goalless game at the end of the opening 45 minutes with no real threats coming from both teams.
The home side, however, wasted no time in settling into the second half as they broke the deadlock minutes into the second 45 minutes.
Kyei scored 10 minutes after the return from recess to give his side the needed breather.
Despite a few heated period in the game, Young Apostles were able to hold onto their lead and snatch the win.
The win for them moves them into 11th position on the league table with 21 points, four above the relegation zone.
