GPL: Berekum Chelsea come from behind to beat Asante Kotoko

Berekum Chelsea came from a goal down to end Asante Kotoko's unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday, May 18.

Mezack Afriyie scored a late winner to put a halt to the Porcupine Warriors' three-game unbeaten run.

Kotoko took the lead in the game through Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala after 21 minutes played at the Golden City Park.

There were opportunities for both teams after the opener but none of them could take their chances.

However, Stephen Amankona drew the Birebes level four minutes away from the halftime whistle.

The two teams headed into the break with the score at 1-1.

With just seconds until the end of the game, Mezack Afriyie headed home Lord Amoah's delivery from a corner to hand Chelsea all three points.

At the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, Legon Cities kept Great Olympics' winless run going as they beat them 2-1.

Level at the break, Kwabena Boateng scored in the 72nd minute to give Paa Kwesi Fabin's side the win.

The Ghana Premier League continues on Sunday, May 19.
