King Faisal's relegation from the Ghana Premier League will stand after their appeal against Tamale City was dismissed by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
King Faisal filed a case against the Tamale-based side for player double identity in relation to midfielder Isaac Mensah.
The Kumasi- based filed a complaint against their opponent for fielding an unqualified player, Isaac Mensah, in the matchday 30 league game, who they allege has another registration in the system as Jireh Kojo Nissi.
The first verdict ruled that the player in the said match, Isaac Mensah, was duly entitled to play. The GFA Prosecutor was tasked with investigating Jireh Kojo Nissi's registration and locating and charging all culpable parties in his registration.
The Appeals Committee also ordered that Jireh Kojo Nissi's registration for the 2021/22 Division One League season should be removed from the GFA's records because it occurred later in time than Isaac Mensah's registration.
The verdict means King Faisal will play in the Division One League next season after failing to beat the drop in the just-ended season.
