The President of the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA), Mr. Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko led a delegation of executive members to pay a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, at his office.
The purpose of the visit was to congratulate the Minister on his recent appointment and to discuss potential areas of collaboration between the Ministry and GUSA.
During the meeting, Hon. Kofi Adams warmly received the GUSA team and expressed his appreciation for their remarkable achievements in university sports.
The Minister emphasized the government’s strategies to enhance sports and recreational activities in Ghana, noting their significance in promoting public health, improving citizens' wellbeing, and generating economic value for national development.
In response, the GUSA executives assured the Minister of their full support, pledging to provide technical expertise and collaborate closely to advance the development of sports in Ghana and beyond.
