The 3rd Session of the Ghana-Israel Political Dialogue was held in Jerusalem on Wednesday, 21st January 2026, with James Gyakye Quayson, Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, leading Ghana’s delegation.

The dialogue was co-chaired by Her Excellency Sharren Haskel, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel.

The high-level forum provided an opportunity for both countries to engage on matters of mutual interest, including diplomatic cooperation, trade and investment, security, innovation, agriculture, and capacity-building initiatives.

Participants used the platform to review ongoing collaborations and explore new areas for partnership.

During the discussions, the Ghanaian delegation highlighted the country’s key priorities, including investment opportunities, technological partnerships, and initiatives to enhance security and innovation.

Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral ties for mutual economic and strategic benefit.

The dialogue underscored the longstanding cordial relations between Ghana and Israel, with officials noting significant progress since the previous session. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining regular consultations to ensure continued collaboration across sectors.

Quayson expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the dialogue, describing it as a constructive platform to advance shared goals and deepen cooperation.

“Our engagement today reaffirms Ghana’s commitment to strengthening relations with Israel and leveraging opportunities for trade, innovation, and capacity building,” he said.
