The Minister of the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has praised the ongoing recruitment exercise into Ghana’s security services, describing the process as orderly, seamless, and transparent.
According to the Minister, the smooth conduct of the exercise is the result of effective planning and strong coordination among the various security agencies involved.
He noted that these measures have helped to ensure fairness and integrity throughout the recruitment process.

"He attributed the success to effective planning and coordination between various security agencies, ensuring a fair and transparent process."
Mr Muntaka made the remarks during a visit to the Fire Service Training School at James Town, where he toured the facility to assess the ongoing screening exercise.
He explained that his visits to the various screening centres are aimed at monitoring progress and encouraging applicants to go through the process independently, without the involvement of intermediaries.

The Minister outlined the subsequent stages of the recruitment process, stating that the current phase involves documentation verification and body inspection.
Successful candidates will then proceed to an online aptitude test, after which they will undergo medical examinations before final selection.
Emphasising the government’s commitment to fairness, Mr. Muntaka urged applicants to avoid third-party interference and warned strongly against corruption and exploitation.

He cautioned applicants to be wary of fraudsters and middlemen who claim they can guarantee success in exchange for money.
“Such deceptive practices will not be tolerated,” he said, adding that anyone found engaging in such activities would face immediate arrest and prosecution.
The Minister also expressed appreciation to security officers for their professionalism and dedication, while commending applicants for their willingness to serve the nation.

He noted that the recruitment exercise has been strengthened by digital reforms, including the introduction of a centralised e-recruitment portal, aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency.

Muntaka reassured applicants that the process is merit-based and free of charge, reiterating that no individual or group has the authority to influence recruitment outcomes.
