Alexander Djiku says he’s honoured to captain the Black stars for the first time.
The Fernabache defender wore the armband for the Black stars in the international friendly against Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
Ghana won the game 3-1 courtesy of goals from Ernest Nuamah, Mohammed Kudus, and Jordan Ayew.
Captain Andre Ayew, Richard Ofori and Jordan Ayew all started the game from the bench which allowed Djiku to captain on the day.
He took to social meadia to express his excitement over this achievement
“Congrat’s to the team for this victory. It's a great honor for me to be captain", the Fenerbache defender shared in a post.
