Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, says his encounter with the Police and the subsequent short stint in prison, has disciplined him.
The 'I know my level' singer said this in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Wednesday.
Shatta Wale mentioned that this experience with the Police and in remand, has taught him great lessons.
He told Host Andy Dosty that he is now very careful with the kind of things he does as an artiste.
"Discipline! I think in this country we all have to learn how to discipline ourselves and that is what is going to take us far. All the processes I went through came out with strong discipline. As we speak, I feel I might be doing something that might be right but not right in the eyes of the law."
In October this year, the award-winning musician, born, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, was arrested for embarking on what was confirmed as a prank in which he claimed to have been shot by unidentified assailants.
Reports on many websites said the ‘Melisa’ hitmaker had to be rushed to an unnamed hospital’s emergency room due to the severity of his injuries.
The Service confirmed his arrest in a Facebook post on Tuesday, October 19.
According to the report, the singer turned himself in after the Police declared him wanted.
Later, an Accra Circuit Court remanded the dancehall musician for one week and was later granted a GHC100,000 bail.
Shatta Wale added that he is trying to be as law abiding as possible.
"I need to discipline myself and structure myself to the law and try to abide by it."
