Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, is urging former Members of Parliament, Ministers, and MMDCEs in the Kufuor and Akufo-Addo administrations to use their political experience to propel the Bawumia 2024 Campaign.
Speaking to these former MPs and appointees from the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East regions on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, in Sunyani, Dr Prempeh urged them to put behind whatever disagreements they might have had with the party.
In Dr Prempeh's view the interest of the party remains supreme and thus, the need to put their shoulders on the wheel towards victory for the party in 2024.

"We are aware that some of you may not be happy about one thing or the other, but remember that, the party interest remains supreme. Let us put behind us whatever difficulties we have had in the past and forge ahead in unity".
Dr Prempeh asked the regional executives to consciously integrate these former appointees and MPs into the campaign structure. This he said, will be a basis for them to contribute meaningfully to the campaign.
On his part, the Regional Chairman for the NPP in the Bono region, Kwame Baffoe expressed appreciation to Dr Prempeh for the initiative, promising to lead efforts to ensure that, everyone is brought on board.

Dr Prempeh further gave hints of replicating these engagements in other regions all to consolidate efforts at ensuring victory for the party.
Dr Prempeh later made a whistle-stop at a meeting of the women's wing where he pledged his support for all the activities of the women's wing.
