Ghanaian Award-winning gospel minstrel, Celestine Donkor, is urging gospel musicians to support each other.

“I wish we will do better because we sing gospel, and we are supposed to propagate the gospel not only on our social media pages, or with our posts or recordings, but also, it should reflect on how we treat people,” she said.

Speaking on the personality-focused segment, Up-Close on Joy FM’s ‘The Reason is Jesus’, the 'Agbebolo' hitmaker told host Fifi Folson that she has decided to do unto others what she wants to be done to her.

“Nowadays, almost everything is done virtually, and every little space counts. So even if you have two or 10 followers and you post a flyer, 10 people are likely to see it, and that is a lot.

"We need to wake up to the reality that every space counts. So if a colleague releases a song, I will share or post it on my handles because I think I owe that person my love. As a Christian, and I have to support them”, Celestine said.

She said those in the industry should lift each other by providing the needed support to their colleagues as other musicians in the diaspora do.

“According to my friends from South Africa etc., they see that when an artiste releases a song, almost everybody shares it. But when another artiste, me, I do a release, they see only some people post it.

"I always defend it, but it’s not good. If people outside are seeing these things, it’s communicating a lot. So let’s support each other, even if it’s little,” she added.

Celestine Donkor recently released her latest single, 'Only You', and it’s available for streaming and download on all digital platforms.
