The Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu, has pledged continued support to security agencies within his constituency to enable them to carry out their duties more effectively under the government’s 24-hour economy initiative.
As part of his 'Accounting to the People' tour, Mr Sosu presented 13 motorcycles and 40 streetlights to the security services, a move aimed at enhancing mobility, boosting visibility, and improving crime prevention across Madina, Oyarifa, and surrounding communities.
Speaking during a visit to the Madina Fire Station, the MP emphasised that the intervention was rooted in his commitment to accountability and service.

“Accounting to the people is a fundamental part of leadership. That is why, whenever Parliament is in recess, I make it a point to visit communities, listen to their concerns and provide support where I can,” he remarked.
He linked the gesture to President Mahama’s 24-hour economy vision, arguing that safe and well-lit communities, together with adequately equipped security personnel, are central to sustained growth.
Highlighting his renewed drive since re-entering Parliament, Mr Sosu revealed that he has donated 30 motorcycles in less than a year, far exceeding what he was able to achieve during his previous four-year term in opposition.
“This tells you that the reset agenda is affecting every aspect of our lives,” he added, noting that the initiative also included handing over Youth Employment Agency trainees to institutions to commence training.
