Parliamentary Service has announced that leaders from both the Majority and Minority caucuses will on Thursday, November 27, 2025, present their official closing statements on the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.
The address will formally bring an end to the general debate on the Budget, marking a major transition into the next phase of parliamentary work, the committee-level scrutiny and sectoral assessments that will shape the government’s 2026 fiscal implementation.
According to the statement issued by the Service, the past weeks have seen MPs engage in extensive analysis, consultations, and constructive review of the Budget.
It stated that the final remarks from the leadership are expected to distill these discussions into key takeaways, outline priority areas across sectors, and signal Parliament’s strategic expectations for the upcoming financial year.
Stakeholders, institutions, and interested observers have been urged to closely follow today's statements and prepare for subsequent briefings.
Parliament indicated that further directives and follow-up actions will be communicated after the leadership completes its submissions.
