In an era dominated by solo artistes, Ghanaian alternative rock band Dark Suburb is championing the importance of musical bands.
According to the band's lead vocalist, Kankan Bizin, music's true potential is unlocked when musicians come together to create magic.
"I firmly believe that music pays well when musicians unite to perform," he shared with Joy News' Becky.
"A band like Santofi or Fra can achieve the same level of success as a solo artist like Sarkodie if they build a loyal fan base. But here's the exciting part – a band is essentially a collective of multiple talents, like having five Sarkodies! Imagine the countless job opportunities that would emerge. Band culture is undoubtedly the way forward."
Dark Suburb's message highlights the value of collaboration, unity, and creative synergy among musicians. By working together, artists can exchange ideas, learn from each other, and craft something truly remarkable.
With their captivating performances and thought-provoking message, Dark Suburb is inspiring a new generation of musicians to embrace the power of band culture and create music that makes a lasting impact.
