Actor John Dumelo has revealed that his tweet about walking barefoot to Lagos was not a joke.
John Dumelo remains extremely confident that the Black Stars will trample over the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the much talked about World Cup Qualifier.
He spoke on Joy FM’s Drivetime, on Friday March 25, and confirmed contents of his earlier tweet. According to him, he is optimistic and confident about Ghana’s win.
When asked what his reaction would be in the case of a loss for the Black Stars, John Dumelo told Lexis Bill, “sometimes when you’re talking you talk with confidence.”
He hilariously continued, “my legs are confident, the ginger is also ready. But I won’t walk because I know we will win.”
The actor, who doubles as a farmer, predicted a 2-1 win in favour of the Black Stars and says the players selected to represent Ghana are up to the task.
He also commended the technical team of the Ghanaian team for keeping the squad list away from the public until the very last minute.
The Black Stars host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the knock-out stages of the Qatar 2022 qualifiers. The match takes place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at 7:30pm, with live commentary on Joy 99.7FM.
